Cindy Salo, Ph.D., is a plant ecologist who writes about natural resources, ecology, and agriculture. Her writing has appeared in Hakai Magazine, Edible Idaho, and Intermountain Farm & Ranch. In her 20 years as a researcher, Cindy investigated plant interactions and invasions in the Intermountain West, the Sonoran Desert, Senegal, and Mexico. She conducted research at the U.S. Geological Survey’s Biological Resources Discipline, the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Senegal, and the University of Arizona. She currently owns Sage Ecosystem Science Corp., where she provides sound research and clear writing.
