Words & Pictures

Ever stopped at a scenic overlook and wondered who makes those signs? Meet interpretive planner and designer Jane Rohling, of Jane Rohling Communication Arts, who does just that. She'll describe the challenges of interpreting natural and cultural resources in words and pictures that are interesting, accurate, and concise enough to grab visitors' attention and cultivate concern for these resources. Plan on getting personally involved in the program!

Join award-winning independent radio producer/writer/photographer Guy Hand as he describes how he uses words, pictures, and sound to tell the stories of food, agriculture, and the environment. Guy is the creator of Northwest Food News and "Edible Idaho," which airs on Boise State Public Radio. He is also the Idaho Statesman's restaurant critic.
